Well, I loved running and doing CrossFit, but my body always didn’t. I was training hard and fueling inadequately. I thought I knew how to train physically, but I did not train to my best potential, and honestly, I probably did more harm than good. I was pouring toxins into my body with the dietary choices I made. I was causing damage to my body by training without proper fueling and recovery.

What changed?
What changed?
Friends and Family. They noticed I did not feel well, they noticed when my body was swollen, when I was fatigued, etc. One friend even said, “could you imagine what you would look like and how good you would feel if you actually ate right”. Meanwhile, acquaintances would say how do you do it. I wish I could run like you. This did two things: 1) it motivated me to see what my potential would be as an athlete if I worked on taking better care of myself nutritionally. 2) I wanted to help others be-able to do what I did BUT without making the same mistakes.

People that wanted to have the endurance and ability I did were asking because they wanted to be able to run or play with loved ones who were unable to do so themselves. Guys, these were everyday activities I took for granted. Providing others with the opportunity to not only be active with their loved ones, but also be healthy by ridding habits of disease that lead to deadly diagnosis, this was what changed me! It was no longer about me, it was about others. Changing people’s lives’ by instilling hope, confidence, courage and empowering them to chase dreams that they once thought were impossible.
